I Hate Companies That Don't Send the Prizes!

And FavorDeal is one of them. I won from this company on a blog a few months ago, and I haven't received my prizes yet. I sent them a few e-mails, and they always keep telling me that they will send the prizes soon with a tracking code. But it never happened. It has been 3 months :(
I heard that they also send their customers' orders too late. You can check it through their Facebook page. A lot of people complain there. They sponsor many giveaways on various blogs, but don't keep their promises. I don't recommend you to buy from or to cooperate with this company, ever!

UPDATE: I finally received my prize, you can check it here: http://sweepstakelover.blogspot.com/2012/12/73-mail-alert.html

    1. Yes, Etsy artisans are more careful and cautious in this regard. Of course there are very honest other big companies as well.

  2. I won a prize from them on a contest, and they never sent the prize, so I forgot about it. Never recieved a tracking number, but a package arrived 3-4 months later, and I was so curious about that secret package. So I can attest to them being veeerrryyy late with sending stuff. :)

    1. I cooperated with this company and they answered all my e-mails, I sent them the winner's address, they confirmed, but I don't know if the winner received her prize or not.

  6. first one i had an issue with is sweepster.ca first off when i won the prize back in August they didnt even email me but they tweeted me and i dont always catch all my tweets but i did see the tweet where they said oh sorry times up and i tweeted back and forth for a while after a few tweets they told me to email the contact/help for sweepster.ca (i dont understand why they couldnt just take care of it since it was their twitter) i did get an email back almost right away and they apologized for their mistake about not sending me an email and i still get the prize and i should receive it by halloween (which is ridiculous cause that was about 2 1/2 months away from when i won) anyway so i picked what i wanted. halloween came and went and i still didnt recieve my prize (the prize was halloween based from a costume warehouse) i emailed them in early november and never got an answer i even waited a month (that about as long as i give anybody) finally i was fed up and tweeted them so everyone who looks at their twitter could see. i got an answer a few hours later saying they would email the company i was getting the prize from on my behalf (this was 2 days ago from today) now im just waiting to see what happens. im not saying that the costume warehouse isnt at fault too but who knows if sweepster.ca even gave them the info back in august or if they ignored that email just like the email i sent in early november.

second one i had an issue with is redbook i did receive my prize but they charged me shipping and it was almost half of what the prize was worth i have won many giveaways and ive only had two charge/ask me for shipping (second one is next one i talk about) heck i even won a prize that was coming from overseas (dont remember which country exactly) and i wasnt charged anything. i think if you won the prize you shouldnt have to pay shipping whats the point of winning anything if shipping is so expensive sometimes its more than what you ordered or won :(

last one is handstampedpendants.com i had won a GC to her site in late august and i picked what i wanted applied the code then it says i need to fill in credit card info becasue i will be charged shipping -_- i never use my credit card online so i sent an email later that day saying if it was ok to use a Gift Card (visa) and if yes what name should i put since there was no name on my gift card i waited a month with no reply and re-emailed her after i just tried to fill in the info and put my own name it gave me an error of some sort she did answer me apologizing for not emailing me back a month ago and said you can use any type of credit card at checkout (not really answering my question) then she said that the site had been down for maintenance from 12mid-2 am she said that is why i had trouble but i tried again and again and waited a week and tried again i just pretty much gave up and never cashed in that prize which is probably expired by now

ok im done ranting and raving im glad to see that others have problems with giveaways as well (well not glad more like im glad im not the only one) ive also enter flavor deal contests before i wont anymore thanks for telling us your experience with this company it helps others who entered and won their giveaways :)

  7. Good to know! I've thought about ordering from them, but now I won't because I fear that "normal" orders might be going out really late too.
Personally I prefer Etsy giveaways, because I love handmade and it's a great way to discover new shops. Most sellers are just totally awesome and in one case I won earrings which arrived damaged (apparently an elephant sat down on the package) and the seller replaced the earrings, can you imagine?
A few times it happened that I never received my Etsy goodies though and not because anything would have got lost in the mail. Some sellers are obviously just looking for free advertising on blogs and then don't react to any communication.

  8. I hate companies that change the rules AFTER the giveaway or contest has ended. Ahem...Crazy Dog T-shirts...*cough*....I won't enter their events anymore.

    2. I'm curious as well. I did win a gift card from them, but never used it because their site required me to enter credit card information and the shipping wasn't free. They refused to take my order via email.

    3. FavorDeal customer service is really bad, lol. I won too, they never sent my prize, I contacted them, they told me that the person in charge of sending out giveaway prizes was on holiday and they would ship my stuff soon. I asked them nicely to let me know when they have done that and they said sure. Me complaining was around Christmas (I won the giveaway sometime in November) and I'm still waiting. XD
