Affordable Fashion that’s Within Your Reach

If you love fashion like me but your wallet is taking a beating from all of the shopping you have been doing, perhaps it is time to put on the breaks. If you’d still like to go shopping for some fall time essentials, there are other methods as opposed to shopping online on your favorite brand name’s website or heading to Macy’s to stock up on the latest and greatest fashion trends. Have you ever heard of coupons or thrift shopping, for example? Instead of putting on the breaks all together, try cutting back some and saving your money instead with the help of great sites like JoeShopping.com. Changing your habits may not happen overnight, but at least you’ll be making wise shopping decisions along the way.

Coupons Codes and Newsletters – If you’re apprehensive to sign up with online newsletters on your favorite websites, it’s understandable. I know just too well how annoying it is to have a full inbox! However, if you create folders in your Gmail or whatever e-mail you use you can archive the e-mails to look at later. The point is, that newsletters often contain coupon codes that will help you save on your purchases. Can’t afford that chevron printed dress you’ve been wanted to get? Wait until an e-mail arrives in your inbox providing you with a 25% code off the dress. Maybe now it will be a little bit more affordable to buy!

Thrift Shopping – Believe it or not, but thrift shopping is now trendy! The reason behind this is because it’s affordable and many “recycled clothing” stores offer many brand names and more that are practically new! If you love expensive brand names like me, such as Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, and Jessica Simpson, all of these brands can be found at thrift stores. If you’re willing to hunt at thrift stores to save some money, then new-to-you clothing is definitely something you should consider.

Visiting the Sale Racks – With the economy the way it is many stores have sales going on, and often. Many times the sales will consist of clothing from seasons past, but if you buy a summer dress and save it for next summer you’ll be happy you saved your money when you had the opportunity. Plus, many past season clothing items can easily be transformed into a fall time staple. Wear a bright tank under a sheer long sleeve blouse or take a pink dress and put a black top over the top of the dress for an instant revamped style.

If you put more effort into keeping more money in your wallet instead of spending it, then just maybe you’ll continue to be creative and frugal. After all, you can continue to be a fashionista, but one who now loves to shop on a budget.
