Fashion in the 1960's

I don't know 60s; I'm the child of 80s, but as it is one of the popular keywords of May on my blog, I would like to write a post about it. At that time, mini skirts, leather boots (just my style!) and false eyelashes (and also very big sunglasses) were trendy. Women wore very colorful clothings, men wore velvet flared trousers and I think there was an exaggeration in fashion. Women used to wear so much and dark makeup. In addition, men were interested in growing their hair long, but not too long.

In the mid 60s, people began to wear neon-colored and vinyl clothings like space age. Maybe the Star Trek series caused this, I don't know :) In the late 60s, the hippie movement affected the trends much. Skirts turned to maxi from super-mini and ethnic dresses appeared. One of the most popular accessories was small circle glasses. And the hair became longer. By the way, first artificial fur and leather products were made at that era.
