Giveaways and Facebook

As far as I know, there are many debates about giveaways and Facebook. To be clear, when you organize a contest within the body of Facebook, your account may be suspended and get penalty. But I need to understand something.
When you put Facebook options (mandatory or extra) in your blog giveaway which you organize within the blog itself, is it free or forbidden? Do you know about that? Because of these issues, I can't put Facebook option in my giveaway entries to promote my sponsors much more. And of course, they don't like the idea:(
But if it's free, I can put Facebook fan options both for the sponsor and myself :) So, we can get more exposure. I'd like to know your thoughts. Please share them!
